What our mums and dads say…

“…such a significant turning point in my journey into motherhood.”

“I’ve really enjoyed Pramactive and especially the coffee meet up afterwards. It feels a really friendly & inclusive space. “

“I can honestly say, joining Pramactive when my first baby was 8 weeks old was such a significant turning point in my journey into motherhood. Being able to exercise gave me so much more energy and made me feel like ‘myself’, as I love being outdoors and running. It boosted my confidence to feel physically stronger. Being a new mummy is emotional and the exercise really boosted my mental health.

Claire is wonderful – warm, welcoming and encouraging. She drives home the message to take the class at your own pace but gives you options to push yourself when you can. I’ve met some wonderful mummies during the classes as well… Go to Pramactive – it will do you the world of good!” – Laura, Emily and Orla

“Claire’s Pramactive classes are great! I started at 12 weeks after a C section with a view to getting fit for a triathlon when my baby was 5 months old. Her classes were gentle enough to get me back into exercising but also helped me get back up to running and strengthening my core. It’s also great to get out in the fresh air with your baby… Would definitely recommend.” – Charlotte & Fraser

“The ability to exercise in the fresh air with other mums has been a total godsend.”

~~~
“Just love Pramactive. You have created such a lovely atmosphere and the women who attend are always so inclusive, welcoming and friendly. I absolutely loved Pramactive during my mat leave and am really hoping I can attend some classes in future.”
~~~

“I love the social side of Pramactive and it’s really lovely when you’re just finding your fitness feet again.”

~~~
“I have attended Pramactive during both my maternity leave periods. The ability to exercise in the fresh air with other mums has been a total godsend. It lifts your mood after sleepless nights and it’s great to be able to share problems with and get advice from the other mummies. Claire is really friendly and adapts the exercise to suit all abilities… The classes are always different and focus on all muscle groups.  I absolutely love Pramactive and will really miss it when I go back to work.” – Jen and Alice
~~~

“Thank you for the amazing Pramactive and baby massage classes! They were the best classes I went to during my maternity leave and I looked forward to them every week. It really helped my well-being to have an activity just for me regularly and I picked up some great songs/ massage tips to use with my daughter. You really covered all the bases. I wish you and For Baby and Me well, you do so much to help us parents.” – Zark and Nina

“The classes are an enjoyable way to get out and socialise and the tone of them is very good.”

~~~
“I loved Baby Massage! It was a great way for me to get some quality time with baby number 2 and she absolutely loved it. I used the massage techniques a lot in the early days to help with colic. Claire is wonderful, knowledgable, welcoming, kind and friendly – I would recommend anything she does to anyone!” – Esther
~~~

“…great fun for both of us.”

“Baby Massage was the first  class I took my daughter and we loved it from the start. It’s a great relaxing class, it got us out of the house in those early days and we learned the massages that help with her colic. Now when Sofia is older we go to [Wrigglers] and it’s great fun for both of us. Claire is excellent teacher, very friendly and approachable. I always recommend her classes to all my friends with babies!” – Magdalena

~~~
“Can I just say… your classes and emails have meant the world to me. I’m sure you hear this all the time, but even second time around I’m finding being a mum so intimidating. I can’t wait to continue with Pramactive over the next few months – partly so I feel like me again, but more importantly so I can chat to other mums and feel reassured that we’re all doing OK!” – Stephanie
~~~

“Really loved your Wrigglers class.”

“My husband loved the daddy massage class and I love the meet and massage class, thank you.”

~~~
“I went to baby massage with my first daughter until she was 8 months old and I went back to work. She loved it and I loved that bonding time with her. I found Claire so friendly and interested in my baby. When I had my second daughter two years later it was the first class I returned to and she loved it just as much.” – Rachel
~~~

“I have really enjoyed the classes and find them very easy going (which isn’t normally the case with a newborn).”

~~~
“I’ve been attending the massage class since my baby was two months old and have found it to be lovely, supportive and fun for babies and mummies alike.  Claire is very knowledgeable and always checks to see if the massage needs to be focused on a problem area such as wind or colic. I’ve since attended Pramactive, which is well tailored to the postnatal period, whilst encouraging you to exercise in a very supportive environment.  Can’t recommend both enough!” – Linda and Joe
~~~

“Fab classes. Love them!”

“Thank you for For Baby and Me. I know that so many mums appreciate everything you do. From giving them a safe space to talk and make friends, to bravely and openly sharing your own experiences. From giving us the confidence to trust our own instincts, to helping us safely get back into shape and boost the endorphins! It’s all invaluable.” – Zoe and Dorian

~~~
“Claire, your social media posts have been a powerful reminder to trust my instinct and parent my way.” – Caroline and Annabelle
 A bit about me: The Mum and Baby Expert
Hi, I’m Claire
I started For Baby and Me in 2008 with just one outdoor postnatal fitness class and since then it has grown into the wonderful community it is today!
With a vast experience of working with women and families as a NHS Health Visitor and mental health nurse I am widely regarded as an expert in the field of baby classes and empowering parents to feel positive, happy and healthy as they journey through the early years as a parent.
I am able to bring my knowledge of child development and evidence-based research and use these skills to support parents in my free online community The New Mum Club as well as my social media, weekly email and regular blog.
On a personal level I have always been active and spent many years running and completed several half marathons and a triathlon. Nowadays I prefer walking, particularly hill or coastal walking but have recently started open-water swimming and hope to explore this more!
I read, regularly swim and practice yoga and find this is the perfect antidote to my days spent talking constantly! I’m a keen cook and am currently obsessed about baking my own sourdough bread.
I have 3 children; my son died when he was 6 months old of a heart condition. My two daughters are now in their 20s and although ‘grown-ups with proper jobs’ they still enjoy spending time with their mum!
I live in Didsbury with my husband and our dog called Murphy but we regularly visit Anglesey where we have been renovating a little holiday house there.
Finally, I’m passionate about empowering mums to feel good both physically and emotionally. Giving you opportunity to be yourself, meet other mums, make friends and enjoy connecting with your baby. But not only that, I love giving dads opportunity to do the same and welcome them to any of our baby massage class. I am delighted to now offer a class for the ‘Working From Home’ parents on Thursday lunchtimes so they can come along too!
I absolutely love my job and look forward to welcoming you to ‘For Baby and Me’ classes soon but please get in touch if you have any questions, worries or queries.
