For Baby and Me is the amalgamation of Pramactive and For Baby and Me Baby Massage. Claire started with one postnatal fitness class a week in 2008 whilst working in the NHS as a Health Visitor.

"...such a significant turning point in my journey into motherhood.”"I can honestly say, joining Pramactive when my first baby was 8 weeks old was such a significant turning point in my journey into motherhood. Being able to exercise gave me so much more energy and made me feel like ‘myself’, as I love being outdoors and running. It boosted my confidence to feel physically stronger. Being a new mummy is emotional and the exercise really boosted my mental health.
"Claire’s Pramactive classes are great! I started at 12 weeks after a C section with a view to getting fit for a triathlon when my baby was 5 months old. Her classes were gentle enough to get me back into exercising but also helped me get back up to running and strengthening my core. It’s also great to get out in the fresh air with your baby... Would definitely recommend." - Charlotte & Fraser
"I came to the Toddler Yoga sessions and my toddler enjoyed herself lots. The sessions were fun, led by a very lovely lady and in a lovely relaxed setting. I really recommend the sessions!" - Leah and Emily
"We have attended Claire’s classes from when Olivia was 6 weeks old. I felt so ready for a stretch in baby yoga and leant how to cope with the colicky early days through Claire’s support and different baby yoga and massage techniques. As Olivia has got older we have ‘moved’ into Massage for Movers, which is a wonderfully baby-led and social class where songs are sung, mums can meet and babies can play! Olivia especially loves the bubbles everywhere at the end of the class! ... Thanks for all your support and stretches! Love Josie and Olivia xxx"
"I loved Baby Massage! It was a great way for me to get some quality time with baby number 2 and she absolutely loved it. I used the massage techniques a lot in the early days to help with colic. Claire is wonderful, knowledgable, welcoming, kind and friendly - I would recommend anything she does to anyone!" - Esther
"...great fun for both of us.”"Baby Massage was the first class I took my daughter and we loved it from the start. It's a great relaxing class, it got us out of the house in those early days and we learned the massages that help with her colic. Now when Sofia is older we go to Massage for Movers and it's great fun for both of us. Claire is excellent teacher, very friendly and approachable. I always recommend her classes to all my friends with babies!" - Magdalena
"I went to baby massage with my first daughter until she was 8 months old and I went back to work. She loved it and I loved that bonding time with her. I found Claire so friendly and interested in my baby. When I had my second daughter two years later it was the first class I returned to and she loved it just as much." - Rachel
"Pramactive is the best mum (baby!) class around x Kate"
"Fantastic workout. Every week Claire changes what we do.. all at your own pace. Great session, fab ladies and Claire is so motivating and positive always. After each session I feel great both physically and mentally. What more can I say?"
"A really enjoyable way to work out. Exercising and chatting at the same time, makes me come back week after week!"
"Each of Claire's classes are different. The exercises are a well balanced mix of aerobics, stretching and strengthening.
Claire encourages us all to work to the best of our abilities. We have fun too that's why we keep coming back for more. 💪"
"Amazing class after trying many others & never finding something I could really enjoy the circuits class that Claire runs it’s awesome I can’t wait to attend every Monday. She is an excellent instructor and tailors the classes to your ability."
I’m Claire and when I’m not teaching For Baby and Me classes you’ll probably find me walking my very lively puppy Murphy around Didsbury!
I have always been active and spent many years running regularly and completed several half marathons and a triathlon. Nowadays I prefer walking, particularly hill walking and hope to complete the National 3 Peaks Challenge in the future.
I also regularly practice Iyengar Yoga and find this is the perfect antidote to my days spent talking constantly! I’m a keen cook and love creating different meals for my family ... but you can’t beat a Friday evening out for food and a glass or two of wine!
I have a wealth of experience working with women and families and I’m passionate about empowering mums to feel good about themselves both physically and emotionally. Giving them opportunity, through my classes, to be themselves, make friends and enjoy their time with baby is my main motivation. I strongly believe that mums are the 'experts' and support 'instinctive' parenting - because YOU know your baby better than anyone and the internet does not hold all the answers!
I absolutely love my job and look forward to welcoming you to 'For Baby and Me' classes soon.
